Which Vacuum Brush will You Choose?
"I chose this vacuum brush and am happy with it."
If you’re in need of a vacuum brush, whether it’s a replacement or just because you need one, you have come to the right place. There are many different styles of brushes out there, and it can be difficult to find the right one for both your vacuum cleaner and the situation you’re in. So where do you begin? Do you look to the manufacturer of your current machine? If you’re just looking for a simple replacement and don’t care what it’s capable of then yes, this is the right way to go. You can look up the exact model and get the exact brush you need.
However, if you want to get a specialized one, you might have to educate yourself a little bit and then do a little searching. Don’t give up though, because finding a very good brush can be very rewarding. Some of the different types include a shop vac round dusting brush. These usually have strong nylon bristles (as do most other commercial grade sweepers). Of course, if you’re in a residential area like a home or an apartment, you won’t need this strong of a brush, and you probably don’t have a shop vac anyway. You might look into the Bosch VAC018 Airsweep instead. The company selling the brush to you will provide you with the specifications and be able to tell you if it will fit on your current vacuum (for example, they’ll say what size wand and hoses they fit).
Other types include dust sweepers, turbo rollers, dog brushes, brushes for your handheld vacuum, and carbon dusting attachments. Even still there are motor belt brushes, as well as those that are designed to go on bagless cyclonic type vacuums. They also have come out with beater and agitator models that are designed to literally demolish dirt and filth. Think hard about your choice.
But you don’t have to stop looking there. All the other manufacturers make these special sweepers. You can get them specifically for your Panasonic, Royal, Hoover, Eureka, Kirby, Dyson, Bissell, Miele or Tristar vacuum cleaner. Obviously the manufacturer would prefer it if you got your replacements from them, and they might even try to tell you that it’s necessary and required, but this isn’t the truth. More often than not, all wands are the same size and because of this all brushes naturally with any vacuum.
